CHEER strengthens relationships and creates leadership opportunities through community-based gardening. The Long Branch Gardeners share knowledge, experience and the excitement of growing culturally-appropriate  food within walking distance of their homes. Gardeners meet twice weekly to plan, plant, maintain and harvest together, while exchanging cooking tips from their respective cultures. The Long Branch Gardeners dream of putting their experience to work on a larger scale to help feed their families and neighbors in need.​
