On a cold February day in 2012, we heard that a long line of people were waiting for health care at Mobile Med’s medical van at the Long Branch Community Center. Dozens of people waited for more than an hour in the cold to be seen by a doctor. Interested in Putting More Community into your Neighborhood?
A new initiative funded by the Takoma Foundation invites you to host a NeighborCircle. A NeighborCircle is “a good conversation over dinner with neighbors.” That’s pretty much it. Why make this into a project? Because, admittedly, most of us don’t know our neighbors and they don’t know us.
