Congratulations to Vanesa Pinto who was awarded among other Latin leaders at the Wheaton TGIF Encore Concert Series on Friday, October 13th 2023 for her work with Don’t Pollute as well as other local environmental projects through CHEER's youth summer services camp. The award was issued and presented by Marc Elrich, Montgomery County Executive, for her commitment and leadership in mobilizing our community to protect the environment and for encouraging all community members to take action towards environmental justice. Vanesa continues to be an active force in championing many of CHEER’s Empowerment and Leadership Development initiatives including the Long Branch Collective Action for Youth (LBCAY).
