The Renters Protection Group continues its efforts to update Takoma Park’s rent stabilization code
Affordable housing was on the agenda for the Takoma Park City Council meeting on November 16. Modifications of the rent stabilization code proposed by the Renters Protection Group this past summer was one of the items discussed. The group’s proposals increase scrutiny and accountability for exemptions to rent stabilization exemptions. None of us intends to get sick or to have an accident, but all of us need medical care at some point.
